I was very interested to read your blog, which I reached by finding a reference to the floods in Oman. Isn't the photo of a gate in a wall in Nizwa, with the waters storming down the wadi?
I used to live and work in Oman.
I was also interested to read about your professional interests in online and distance learning. I have been associated with the Open University in UK mostly as a student, but also as a tutor, since 1971.
I had to smile when you published the photo of you by AbdulRahman with the comment that there were too many tourists cruising up and down the Nile during the Spring.
I did it in Summer 1999.
